Most migrants crossing Mediterranean Sea from Turkey to one of Greek Islands. Usually they choose Lesvos, Chios, Kos, or Rhodos because the close distance and best chances to get to the other side of the sea. A reconnaissance is always our first action in all the search & rescue missions.<\/p>\n
We were looking for answers for the simplest but very important questions: like what\u2019s going on at sea? How many people need help daily? Are there enough rescue vessels? Why exactly migrants are drowning? How we can rescue people in distress according to local law? With whom we should cooperate with to be sure our work is well organised and most efficient?<\/p>\n
